About

About the Kentucky Perinatal Association

KPA began serving in this capacity in 1988 when a core group of founding members recognized the need for consistent policy and education, statewide related to evidence informed care of the pregnant woman and newborn.  In 1989, KPA was incorporated. For 32 years, KPA has been providing an annual 2 ½ day conference event.

The Annual Perinatal Conference

The event allows for local physicians, nurses, and social workers to network, share experiences, policies, and best practice protocols. The conference agenda is packed with national and regional expert speakers on subjects specifically related to the pregnant woman, newborn, neonatal infant care, or other emerging issues.
